Deposits on long jobs
Ask for a deposit on the job, let the customer pay it on their own page, and stop lending out floor space for free.
Builds and restorations tie up a bench and a shelf for weeks, and the shop carries all of the risk until collection.
You can now ask for a deposit from the job card. The customer pays it on the page they already have a link to — no account, no app, no card details anywhere near you. The job shows what has been paid and what is left, and so does theirs.
Refunds go back the way they came, from the same screen.
