Frequently asked questions
What counts as a bench?
A place where somebody works on one thing at a time. If two mechanics can work at once, that is two benches, whether or not the furniture agrees. We do not audit this and there is nothing that counts it for us — you tell us the number.
What if I have four benches but only two are ever busy?
Pay for two. The number is what you actually run, not what you own. Shops in seasonal trades change it twice a year and that is exactly what it is for.
Do the customer texts cost extra?
No. They are included on every plan including the free one, with no bundle and no per-message charge. Charging per text would make shops ration the thing the product is for.
What happens at 50 jobs on the free plan?
New jobs stop until the month turns over. Everything already open keeps working, the customer pages stay up, and nothing is deleted. It is a ceiling, not a switch-off.
Can I change plan mid-month?
Yes, in both directions, and it takes effect immediately with the difference prorated. Adding a bench in April and removing it in July is the normal pattern here and costs nothing extra.
Do you charge per staff member?
No. Free and Solo cap accounts because those plans are for one or two people; Shop and Group have no cap at all. A seasonal mechanic is not a line item.
Is there a contract?
Monthly plans are month to month and you can stop whenever you like. Yearly plans are a year, and if you stop early we refund the unused months rather than keeping them.
What happens to my data if I stop paying?
The account goes read-only for 90 days, so you can still look things up and export everything. After that we delete it. Your customers' job pages stay up for 30 days so nobody is left holding a dead link.
Do you offer a discount for a second location?
The per-bench price already drops on the Shop plan, which is where a second location puts most people. Beyond four locations the pricing is a conversation rather than a table.
