Changing your shop name, address and number
What customers see on messages, on their job page and on Counterview, and where each of those comes from.

Three things carry your shop's details to customers, and all three read from the same place: Settings → Shop.

The name

Used as the sender name on every message, as the heading on the customer's job page, and across the top of Counterview. Use the name over the door rather than the registered company name — the customer is trying to recognise you, not look you up.

The number

Messages go out from a number Benchtop holds, but the number printed inside the message is yours, so a customer who replies by calling reaches the shop. Set it in international format.

The address

Appears at the foot of the customer's job page, and behind the Get directions button. If you are down an alley or behind another shop, put that in the second address line. It is read by somebody standing outside looking confused.
