Setting your opening hours
Opening hours decide when messages go out, what the collection text says, and when Counterview wakes up.
Benchtop uses your opening hours in three places, so they are worth getting right once.
Where to set them
Settings → Shop → Opening hours. Set a pair of times for each day, or mark the day closed. Half-days are fine; so is closing for lunch, using the second row.
What they change
Messages. Nothing is sent outside opening hours. A job marked ready at ten past six on a Saturday sends its message when you open on Monday, not at ten past six. This is deliberate — a text at closing time produces a phone call you are not there to answer.
Holidays
Settings → Shop → Closures takes a date range and a short line of text. During a closure, promised dates skip those days, Shopfront tells people when you reopen, and nothing is sent.
